    >It could be like a big swap meet…post the picture of the item you dont like and swap it for something you do like. I think this is a great idea. I feel bad that some awesome gifts end up just sitting somewhere picking dust while others would probably love it.

To quote Groucho, “Who are you gonna believe…me, or your own two eyes?”

Mrs. Fields' website has a page for Christmas Gifts (35), and another page for their “Holiday” Gift Collection which contains 74 gifts – all of which are Christmas-themed.

Why not list all the Christmas gifts under Christmas Gifts, and gifts for all the other holidays on the Holiday Gift Collection page? Why make your customers wade through politically-correct nonsense to find what they want?

I have never done full-body workouts. I have nothing against them, but I have always done 3-5 day splits. Right now I'm doing 1 day on, 1 day off. Looks something like this.

Day 1: Back, biceps, traps, rear delts
    Day 2: Off
    Day 3: Quadriceps and hamstrings
    Day 4: Off
Day 5: Chest, triceps, shoulders (usually just medial deltoid), calves
    Day 6: Off
    REPEAT

I sneak abs between sets on upper body days usually.

Right and that idea about the success of many single Black mothers must be pure anamoly.

Nevermind how many successful Black people were raised by single mothers. Nevermind how many Black college graduates were raised by single mothers. Nevermind any of that.

I'm not trying to herald single motherhood as the next greatest thing. It's not. It's hard as hell and I am a co-parent! I couldnt imagine doing this with absolutely no help from anyone.

The Bible teaches us that each one of has spiritual gifts. Here is a link that describes all the spiritual gifts listed in the Bible.

The book “What you Do Best in the Body of Christ.” Its a real good book that discuss what the gifts are and even has a test so you can discover your own gifts.

There is also a parable in the Bible about gifts. One of those gifts is the ability to study Gods creation, and to learn to be good stewards of Gods gifts. By rejecting science, you reject one of the gifts of God. You should not be insulted by the fact that God created the things in the Milky Way. Nor should you be insulted that someone would spend time learning about the gifts of God.

It's interesting comparing the systems you have with ours. We are moving to a more 'personalised' system however the money is just not there to fund it appropriately. I suspect a lot of the systems teeter on the edges as a lot of people's unmet needs are not met and therefore can't draw funding away from the more cheaply available care.
I am very cynical because I see these wonderful progressions but with no money behind them, the local authorities will continue to drive out any personalised care with block contracts which are cheaper. If we really do move towards REAL personalised and individual care, the cost implications are massive and noone wants to confront this. It leaves an unhappy medium with care being cheapened and cheapened until the quality suffers considerably.
I am more minded that the different systems that exist, exist to cut costs and meet very broad needs and most critical needs rather than relate to individuals.

  19. Susan Gammage says:

Sometimes we're so busy honoring our mothers, that we forget to honor the role that we play in raising the next generation. I was priviledged to celebrate this mother's day, with 5 other mothers of adult children. We went around the circle, identifying the things we were proud of doing as mothers; the things we were grateful for, in our roles as mothers; and what advice we'd give to our early mother selves, based on what we'd learned over the years. It was a wonderful way to honour our role as mothers.

  20. Jim Poplin says:

Now let our special operations troops get the rest of “the base” gang and get our combat troops out of Afghanistan. We are not accomplishing anything by fighting villagers who can’t read and don’t know why we are there. If you woke up in the 11th century and thousands of people you don’t know were kicking in your door, wouldn’t you fight back? We can fight the 100 or so Al Qaeda troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan using special ops and drones. We have too many gold star mothers now as it is.

Seriously? Agencies and paps are already looking to adopt these children? My guess is they ALL have mothers, likely underage traumatized mothers, but mothers. Think about it…it was a CLOSED community. Where would the mothers go?But ya, makes sense with the entitled mentality…grab the kids while the mothers are down. And, btw, I am not willing to offer ANY rights to the adult fathers who raped these young women…except for genetic history. Not that anyone asked me ;) Sue

personalised intranets… that is an interesting direction, Olivier. For my purposes, keeping everything open & free is key for experimentation purposes.

Matt, I did peruse Odysen and I really like the free-formating widgets. One thing I like about pageflakes is they have a teacher site with gradebook features and task lists. Does Odysen offer anything similar? Obviously, given the personalised page is free, there is nothing that would stop me from considering Odysen seriously.
